Busy mum, Nicole Roe, loved renovating her villa in her spare time. Her problem was that when she took on the role of Administrator at Western Springs AFC, there was no longer much spare time to be had.
So much of her role was taken up with time-consuming tasks that Nicole knew could be simplified, if only she had the right solution.
After persisting with the systems she had for too long, Nicole went looking for help.
She wanted software that would be simple to use for everyone in the club of over 2000 members, because there was no room to help people if they couldn’t figure it out.
That simple-to-use software also needed to meet a long list of requirements.
It needed to provide a streamlined and simple online registration system.
It needed to be able to track invoicing and payments, and then integrate with the club’s accounting package (Xero).
It needed to make it easy for Nicole to email specific groups of members and pull reports.
Ideally the solution would also help Nicole grade coordinators and coaches to minimise time and hassle with their jobs too.
After investigating what other clubs were using for minimising administration time and hassle, Nicole decided to see if it the new Friendly Manager club management system others were talking about would be a good fit for her club.
When Nicole saw that Friendly Manager could meet every one of her long list of requirements, as well as integrate with Comet, meaning there would be no double handling of data between the systems, she knew it would significantly help her club’s current administration challenges.
Western Springs AFC went live with Friendly Manager in January 2020. Nicole says, “Implementing Friendly Manager at Western Springs AFC has simplified everything.” She has a streamlined registration process needing very little support from admin, financial tracking and reporting at her finger tips and an emailing function making communication super simple.
Nicole has been given back hours to spend on sanding and painting sash windows - the stuff she loves!
